Blockchain is a wonder of technology that is going to disrupt a lot of industries. It’s an arms race to see who will become the dominant force in the coming years. Bitcoin may be digital gold, but who will be the blockchain that is for the masses? While a lot of focus has been put on Ethereum, several layer ones have come online this year that are showing the true potential of blockchain in ways that we didn’t think was possible even six months ago. Avalanche is one of those layer ones that continues to great not just new high prices on it’s token price, but also it’s development and long term growth strategies. AVAX is showit us that it is here to stay, and knowing more about Avalanche and it’s ecosystem MUST be part of every crypto investors little black alpha notebook.

Here is a quick overview of Avalanche in case you are new to crypto. Avalanche was created in 2018 by Ava Labs which is lead by John Wu…no not that John Wu. This one…from Harvard. Avalanche was created by a couple of Cornell computer science doctorates and Cornell professor of cryptographic research Emin Gun Sirer. Emin has been in crypto for a while and was involved in Bitcoin itself and did some research for the Ethereum team. Like a lot of other crypto projects, Ava Labs got some funding from Polychain and Andreesen Horowitz which helped turbo charge it’s development. Avalanche has seen huge growth this year not just in token price but in network traffic. This snowball network affect momentum is no accident. The team at Ava Labs had built Avalanche from the ground up to be high competitive to other layer ones. It has multichains built in from the start. The X, C and P chains. Not to be confused with 2 Chainz. This trifecta of chains has lead to highly optimized traffic. Just look at this transaction chart for the base C-chain. As recently as August the AVAX network was doing a meager 10k transactions per day. But look at that parabolic growth on August 21st. 169k transactions in one day. This was a month or so after the dapp ecosystem had reached critical mass and investors were starting to take notice. Look at this article back from July 2021. Back then 1 AVAX was just under $14. Little more than a month later and Avax would see it’s largest pump ever, shooting all the way up to $76 before taking a breather for a month, then going parabolic again. Avalanche broke $100 per token on November 17th and has shown true resilience against all market headwinds. It’s a project that is truly ready for the next decade and beyond.
But it’s not just sexy price action and green candles. Avalanche is a mountain of good tech that’s ready for web3. Avalanche NFTs are taking off in big way and for evidence of that look no further than their recent partnership with the Seattle Kraken Hockey team. It’s the first a long line of NFT projects that are running on Avalanche and a lot of that is bolstered by the fact that Avalanche is proof of stake so it’s able to side step a lot of the climate FUD that plagues other blockchains like Ethereum. But maybe you don’t care about Canadian men slapping hard rubber with their massive wooden sticks. That’s fine. The slopes of Mt. Avalanche are home to the goodest of boys…Husky.Space. NFTs and real world goods come together on Husky.Space and it all runs on AVAX. Their latest NFT drop of 3D Huskys sold out very quickly and more projects are on the horizon for the Husky degens at Husky.Space

It should be no surprise that a low fee blockchain like Avalanche is seeing a lot of development in gaming. Imperium Empires bills itself as the first AAA space metaverse on Avalanche. That’s a big claim. The details on Imperium are outlined in an extensive whitepaper that gets into the details of what gameplay will look like in the future. There is no date set for a beta release but this project is one to keep an eye on. Compare that with Crabada which is a play to earn game you can play right now. It’s a game about….crabs that can mine things, breed with eachother steal loot and fight in what is sure to be the only crab based warfare in any video game ever. The game is cartoony and fun but the native CRA and TUS tokens are real and can be earned in game. The Crabs are actually ERC-721 assets that run on the Avax C chain. Do your own research to find other hidden gaming gems on Avalanche, and you might just find a few king crabs among the mud crabs.
Moving away from sea bugs let’s talk about profits. Avalanche has had it’s biggest announcement so far this year in the last week when Circle announced it was integrating it’s USDC coin onto the Avalanche network. This was a big deal and couldn’t have come at a better time. The announcement sent the price of the Avax token shooting up but the most bullish news is in the new potential for Avalanche. There is over 40 billion in USDC in circulation but most of that is on Ethereum. After getting a nod from the UN that cleared Avalanche as a carbon neutral crypto, Circle quickly threw their support behind Avax. This announcement will be a catalyst for Avax based Defi in the coming months, because as we all know, Stablecoins are the backbone of Defi. Defi has needed as shot in the arm recently so it makes sense that getting a breath of fresh mountain air would be good for it. Now instead of timing your token swaps to the Ethereum gas fees, or just taking a huge hit on your profits to swap during high traffic…you can do all your Defi on Avalanche and never have to use a bridge to a stable coin.
Keep your eyes up the mountain and watch for Avalanche. The bear market is coming but hot projects will not only give you the ability to make gains during any market trend, but will give you the flexibility to USE your money in new and exciting ways.
