February 28th, 2022 — A month of growth and sowing more seeds for an exciting future
This month started with celebrating a staking milestone of over 150M CTSI staked in Noether’s fully decentralized delegated staking system. It’s wonderful to see the Cartesi community’s support in contributing to the security and efficiency of the project, if you’re interested in staking, check out the FAQs to get started.
Continuing to drive awareness and expand the Cartesi network, we are excited to join the Portuguese Blockchain Alliance and tap into Portugal’s thriving tech scene. Joining provides access to information, events, companies, universities, and people — each important in Cartesi’s mission to welcome developers of all kinds to The Blockchain OS.
To strengthen the Cartesi ecosystem, February also saw the welcoming of a team from the Institute of Computing at Fluminense Federal University (UFF), via IMPETU. From building DApps to providing important feedback to help us better our developer documentation, together, we’re looking forward to building a more flourishing ecosystem and providing innovative new DApps to people all over the world.

Since the alpha launch of Cartesi Rollups, we’ve been busy onboarding new contributors to The Blockchain OS and kickstarting real-world adoption of Cartesi technology. This month saw two more contributors join the ecosystem, Webchefs, and Scalac. We’re excited to be working together to bring the benefits of blockchain technology to companies wanting and waiting to build their own blockchain applications.
The number of developers building on The Blockchain OS is growing and we can’t wait to see what else is in store. Over the next months, we’ll be catching up with our new contributors and providing you with a behind-the-scenes look at building with Cartesi technology. Stay tuned for new updates.
We’re also thrilled to announce a partnership with Aetheras to bring the next generation of blockchain-based games into the hands of people the world over. As a contributor to the Cartesi ecosystem, Aetheras will demonstrate why The Blockchain OS is essential in the blockchain game industry. Check out the announcement article to learn more:
Redesigning Roadmaps
With the expansion of our project and new processes in place, Cartesi requires new ways to properly set expectations and maintain technical transparency for our R&D activities.
We’re redesigning our development updates and will be releasing an updated roadmap and communication plan very soon. We’re aiming to make it appealing to both blockchain and mainstream developers, investors, and CTSI enthusiasts, as well as possible end-users of The Blockchain OS’s decentralized apps. We love connecting with different communities across the blockchain space and welcoming more people to the Cartesi community! From COO Colin Steil’s AMA with the Binance China community over on Discord, this month, we were also thrilled to take part in the Crypto Valley Association’s blockchain gaming panel.
